Gentle, movement and music-based therapy supporting children's physical, cognitive and emotional development. A safe, nurturing space where every child can thrive.
Every child has their own unique strengths and challenges. Your child may have a talent for the arts, sports, or nature, but struggle to read and write, understand and use language, stand or sit still and pay attention, or regulate emotions.
The root cause of these challenges may be an immature neuromotor system that has not yet completed the developmental sequence needed in the earliest months of life.
Development is a journey, and we have the potential to nurture our physical, cognitive and psychological growth throughout our lifetime. Our innate curiosity, sparked through our senses, motivate us to explore our world through movement. Whether it is taking your first steps, jumping in a puddle, or learning to juggle, each new experience is food for the brain. Movement facilitates growth and connectivity. The coordination and connection we see on the outside reflects the coordination and connection that is taking place on the inside.
If you have found Through The Looking Glass because you are looking to support your child with behavioural, emotional or learning difficulties, then you have come to the right place. I can guide your child through evidence-based, therapeutic movement and music programmes that help them better connect with themselves and the world around them.
Understanding why some children struggle and how we can help them thrive
From birth, babies develop through a sequence of reflexes and movements: rolling, crawling, standing, walking. Each stage builds neural pathways that wire the brain for learning, focus, and coordination.
Sometimes children miss or rush through these developmental stages. When primitive reflexes aren't fully integrated, they can interfere with reading, writing, attention, balance, and emotional regulation, even years later.
The good news: the brain remains plastic throughout life. Through targeted movement exercises, we can go back and complete these missed stages, building the neural foundations your child needs to flourish.
This approach is backed by over 50 years of research and clinical practice.
