A compassionate, personal approach to supporting your child's development
I'm Nicola Broughton-Smith, a trauma-informed Neurodevelopmental Practitioner based in Berkshire.
With over 15 years of experience working with children and families, I've dedicated my career to understanding why some children struggle — and finding gentle, effective ways to help them thrive.
I qualified as a Neurodevelopmental Practitioner with the Institute of Neuro-Physiological Psychology (INPP), and I'm an affiliate member of this respected organisation that has been pioneering this work for over 50 years.
Before specialising in neurodevelopment, I worked in various school settings in both administrative and teaching roles. I saw first-hand how many bright, capable children struggled despite their best efforts — with reading, writing, concentration, or simply sitting still.
Traditional approaches often focused on the symptoms rather than the root cause. I knew there had to be a better way.
That's when I discovered the INPP Method and the science of primitive reflex integration. Finally, I understood why these children were struggling — and more importantly, how to help them.
Today, I work with children and families from my peaceful barn studio, offering personalised programmes that address the underlying causes of learning and developmental challenges.
